Time for Change
"Layla" was introduced to drink and drugs when she was just 13.
She once described mixing together heroin and crack as the best feeling ever, until you're just doing it so you don't feel sick. Now at rock bottom, she has to pull herself out.
The film documents the realities of life when you are addicted to gear, quoting directly from the words of an addict. Working with ITV Fixers, we teamed up with ex-users to create an accurate dramatic representation, and in doing so helping the young women themselves face their own demons, and involving them in a positive creative experience.
